At Yellow Note, we believe music is for everyone no matter your age, background, where you live or how challenging your schedule is. We’re an online music school designed to make learning fun, inspiring, truly personal and accessible and flexible.

Founded by passionate musicians and dedicated educators, our mission is simple: to help every student discover the joy of music and grow their confidence one note at a time. We specialize in engaging and interactive lessons for kids ages 5-18 and adults, blending solid technique with creativity, music history and theory.

With flexible virtual classes and caring teachers, we meet students where they are- at home, or on the go - and help them reach their goals with discipline and enjoyment. Whether your child dreams of mastering the piano, exploring general music, or simply wants to play for fun, we’re here to guide, encourage, and celebrate every step of the journey.

  • Founder & Director

    I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance and have been teaching private music lessons since 2012. My experience as a piano coach includes working on professional film sets in Wilmington, NC, where I’ve guided actors such as Simu Liu, Uzo Aduba, and Abigail Achiri in learning and performing piano pieces for their roles. This work has included advising for a Searchlight Pictures production and ensuring that on-screen performances are both convincing and musically authentic. Over the years, I’ve also served as Music Director for several churches, deepening my experience as a performer, accompanist, and musical leader.

    My teaching style is flexible and student centered. Rather than following a strict, one-size-fits-all curriculum, I encourage exploration and creativity, helping students pursue what they love in music-whether that’s classical, pop songs, composing, or just having fun at the keys. I believe that music should be a joyful, personal journey, and I’m here to guide and inspire each student at their own pace.
